Yemen, Saudi SFD sign talks result minutes
SANA'A, Oct. 14 (Saba)- Ministry of Planning and International
Cooperation and Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) signed on Tuesday a
minutes of the talks result which were held between them concerning
discussions of the draft agreement of finance relating to
Amran-Aden highway project and donation agreement of the 5th energy
project.
The minutes included SFD contribution to financing the second phase
of Amran-Aden dual highway project worth $320 million, and $213
million as financial donation and $107 million as a loan.
Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdullah
al-Shater evaluated SFD contributions in supporting Yemeni
developmental projects, clarifying that the signed donation and
loan agreement between the two sides exceeded 50% of the total of
Saudi financial pledges which were allocated for Yemen in London
Donors Conference.
On his side, representative of the Saudi fund Mansour al-Zughbi
confirmed SFD interest to continue its support for Yemeni
developmental efforts.
