HCM City invests in IT application at State agencies
HCM City (VNA) - Ho Chi Minh City has decided to earmark over 226 billion VND (32.3 million USD) to accelerate the application of information technology at State agencies in the city from 2008 to 2010.
While public offices at municipal and district levels have been linked
together in a uniform network and many have operated their websites
effectively in providing public services, a lack of equipment and software
has hindered the operation of the network.
The new project aims to build a broad Metronet linking 20 municipal
departments and agencies, 24 districts and all universities in the city.
The network will also include a database and information portals in a wide
range of socio-economy, land, natural resources, science and
