AZERBAIJAN`S MONETARY RESERVES AMOUNT TO $17 BLN

Baku, 14 0ctober, (AzerTAj) - Monetary reserves of Azerbaijan increased from $1,600,000,000 in 2003 to $17,000,000,000 in October 2008. It was reported during the Cabinet`s meeting on the nine-month socio-economic development results in 2008.

Revenues from energy projects will continue to rise. Azerbaijan will become one of
the world`s leaders in terms of monetary reserves. The country leads the world for
the per capita foreign currency reserves.
