Azerbaijan, Hungary to sign youth cooperation agreement

Azerbaijan and Hungary will sign an agreement on youth and sports cooperation.
This agreement was reached at a meeting of Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov and Hungarian Secretary of State for Social, Family and Youth Policy Miklós Soltész, the ministry told Trend today.
The sides discussed the issues related to strengthening the bilateral ties in the field of youth and sports.
Rahimov informed the guest about the youth policy, implemented in Azerbaijan, state programs, training of Azerbaijani athletes to the London Olympics and that the current Olympic team will be the largest one during the country's participation in the Olympics, the
development of sport and its infrastructure.
Rahimov stressed that at present, about 34 Olympic sports complex operate in Azerbaijan. About 12 are under construction.
"We are working to host the first European Olympic Games in 2015, the World Chess Olympiad in 2016 and Islamic Games in 2017," the Minister said.
Rahimov stressed strengthening the relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary, the importance attached by President Aliyev, the further development of the relations between the two countries, including cooperation in the youth field.
Hungarian Secretary of State said that he is satisfied with participation in the International Youth Congress and Silk Road Festival in Baku.
Speaking about the importance of youth cooperation between the two countries, he recalled about the Forum of Azerbaijani youth studying abroad, which was held at a high level in Hungary a few months ago. He said that the Hungarian side will continue further expanding the cooperation with Azerbaijan.
