Georgia hosts conference on defence and security

Georgia, Tbilisi, June 28 / Trend N. Kirtzkhalia / A two-day conference on defence and security has opened in Batumi with the participation of representatives of Georgia's national security, government, NGOs and international organisations. The conference participants will consider issues related to security in Europe and South Caucasus, cyber security, the international peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan (ISAF) and Euro-Atlantic security and expected challenges. The conference on security has been held bi-annually under the Georgian Defence Ministry. NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow will join the conference on June 29.
