NGO TO RALLY IN FRONT OF WORLD BANK AND IMF OFFICES
Jakarta, Oct 14 (ANTARA) - Activists of the Anti-Debt Coalition (KAU), a non-governmental organization, expressed their aspirations at Sudirman street here Thursday, as part of a global action week against debts and several international financial institutions such as the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Accroding to head of the national secretariat of KAU, Dani Setiawan, the protest would be conducted in front of the Jakarta Stock Exchange (BEI) building, where the World Bank's Jakarta representative office is located.
Moreover, Dani also said the theme of the action is "World Bank is Mastermind Behind Global Financial Crisis, Reject New Debt Trap".
Meanwhile, the global action week against debts and international financial institutions is planned on October 13-18, 2008.
