CODE OF ETHICS ON GENERAL ELECTIONS TO BE ISSUED SOON
Jakarta, Oct 14 (ANTARA) - The General Elections Commission's (KPU) Regulation on the Code of Ethics of the Organization for General Election will soon be issued, member of KPU Syamsul Bahri told ANTARA here Tuesday.
"The regulation has been discussed by the KPU and the Elections Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) and it also has been signed by the KPU Chairman," Bahri said, adding that the regulation might be issued next week.
The code of ethics regulation, explained Bahri, regulates sanctions for the general election's operators who break the code.
"The sanction will be a warning or suspension, or dismission for good," he said.
"The Honorary Board decides sanctions. The criterion of the code of ethics violation will also be formulated by the Board," Bahri added.
"The regulation has been discussed by the KPU and the Elections Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) and it also has been signed by the KPU Chairman," Bahri said, adding that the regulation might be issued next week.
