German Commerzbank joins Georgia’s market

Georgia, Tbilisi, June 25 / Trend N. Kirtzkhalia / Germany's second largest bank, Commerzbank has begun operating in Georgia. It will actively finance trade operations and serve local, international banks and German companies, the bank said today. "Georgia has been chosen because the country has a liberal and growing economy. There is high competition in this market," the bank said. "Commerzbank will continue monitoring the banking sector, carefully examine it taking into account the possible risks and then give loans by encouraging trade operations in Georgia." Commerzbank will then be represented in 50 world countries after opening an office in Georgia.
