Advisory Council Concludes its 40th Ordinary Session
Doha, June 25 (QNA) - The Advisory Council held on Monday its ordinary weekly sitting of its 40th regular session under the chairmanship of its Speaker, HE Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi.
At the outset of the meeting, the Advisory Council Secretary-General, Fahd bin Mubarak Al Khayareen read the agenda, which was then agreed upon.
The Advisory Council then endorsed the minutes of its previous session.
A memo by the General -Secretariat of the Cabinet on the Advisory Council's recommendations about the request to hold a general debate on security and safety requirements was also read. The Advisory Council took note of it.
The Council Secretary- General read then the Decree No. 43 of 2012 concluding the 40th ordinary session of the Advisory Council, which stipulates:
We, Hamad Bin Khalifa Al -Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar,
After having reviewed the Constitution; and
the Emiri decision No. 18 of 2010 extending the Advisory Council's term; and
the decree No. 46 of 2011 inviting the Advisory Council to hold its 40th regular session and the draft decree submitted by the Cabinet,
We have decreed the following:
Article 1:
The 40th ordinary session of the Advisory Council concludes following Monday sitting of the 5th of Shaaban1433 AH, corresponding to the 25th of June 2012.
Article 2:
All competent authorities, each within its competence, shall implement this Decree, which will be published in the Official Gazette.

In a speech he gave on the occasion, HE the Speaker of the Advisory Council expressed in his behalf and on behalf of the Council' members deep gratitude and appreciation for HH the Emir and HH the Heir Apparent for their effective and unlimited support for the Council.
He also thanked the Council's members for their sincere efforts for considering the proposed requests for general debates, draft laws and decrees, which have been referred to the Council by the Cabinet for discussion and decision. (END)
