Basendwah Hails Qatar's Support for Yemen

Sana'a, June 21 (QNA) - Yemeni Prime Minister Mohamed Salem Basendwah has praised the support provided by the State of Qatar to Yemen during the current phase, at the national and humanitarian levels and its effort to help Yemen overcome the crisis that hit the country last year. Basendwah made his remarks during a ceremony held for the distribution of a new batch of food aid provided by Qatar Charity for the needy and those affected by the recent events in Yemen. The ceremony, organized by the charity and social form society, was attended by Qatar's Ambassador in Sana'a Jassim bin Abdulaziz Al Buainain, a delegation from Qatar Charity headed by Chief Executive President of Qatar Charity Youssuf Ahmed Al Kuwari, a number of ministers and members of the House of Representatives and Shura Council in Yemen. Basendwah said that projects implemented by the Qatar Charity in Yemen were the best proof of the brothers keenness on supporting the Yemeni people, stressing that Qatar Charity was among the first associations and institutions that responded to Yemen's relief aid needs. He added: "The efforts of the brothers in the State of Qatar will remain engraved in the memory of the Yemeni people, who will never forget this fraternal stance, the speedy initiatives and the provision of unlimited support." Basendwah said : "I felt during my recent visits the State of Qatar's keenness of its generous leadership on supporting Yemen and the great understanding for Yemen's urgent issues and needs during the current phase."
