Asian Beach Games: Qatar Handball Team Qualify to Semifinal

Haiyang, China, June 21 (QNA) - The Qatari beach handball team qualified to the semifinals of the 3rd Asian Beach Games after beating Bahrain and China respectively on Wednesday. In the semifinals, the Qatari team will take on Pakistan on Thursday where winners will qualify to the final match to be held on Friday, according to Qatar Olympic Committee official website. On the other hand, the powered paragliding competitions will be concluded on Thursday. The competitions witness the participation of 40 athletes representing 11 countries where Qatar is represented by Jamal Ibrahim Al-Manai. Meanwhile, John Grubbstrom, President Federation Aeronautique International's (FAI) met with participants in the powered paragliding competitions and extended his appreciation to the state of Qatar for participating in the 3rd Asian Beach Games.
