Turkish Deputy PM concludes visit to Yemen
Sanaa, October 14, SPA -- Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister
of State Nazim Ekran left here today after heading his country's
official delegation at the fourth session of the Ministerial
Committee of the Yemeni-Turkish Joint Committee, which concluded its
works in the Yemeni capital yesterday.
In a statement to Yemen's news agency "SABA" he said the volume of
bilateral trade exchanges is expected to nearly $400 Million this
year, adding that this could hike to $ one billion by the end of
2010.
He said Turkey likes to buy liquefied gas from Yemen and expressed
his country's readiness to exchange information and expertise on
energy and renewable energy.
The Turkish side discussed with the Yemeni side the possibility of
holding meetings on the matters of bilateral interest in the near
future, he added.
The two sides said the fourth session had reflected the developed
relations between Yemen and Turkey, and expressed comfort with the
deal reached between them for cooperation in the transport area.
