MALAYSIA HANDS OVER ROUTES 2009 TO CHINA
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 14 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Tuesday handed over the World Route Development Forum (Routes) to China, the 2009 hosts, after the successful conclusion of the 14th Routes Forum.
Organiser Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) said as the first Asian
country to host the airlines-airports forum, Malaysia has set a milestone for
other Asian air players to promote their traffic and market potentials.
The three-day forum attracted over 2,500 delegates representing nearly 500
airlines and 1,000 airports.
"I am pleased to note that this first Routes has been a very successful
event for us as the hosts. We are confident the delegates had successful
meetings throughout the forum," MAHB managing director, Bashir Ahmad,
said.
Capital Airports Holdings Co will host the 15th Routes Forum in
Beijing.
