EYE ON MALAYSIA TO MAKE MELAKA DEBUT IN NOVEMBER
MELAKA (Malaysia), Oct 14 (Bernama)-- The "Eye On Malaysia" ferris
wheel which has been relocated from Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur to
Melaka will start operation on Nov 7.
Installation of the giant wheel at the marina project site at Kota
Laksamana 2 was near completion, said Ad Suria Sdn Bhd (ADS) chief executive
officer Adam Yong Abdullah.
The wheel slated as a new tourism product for Melaka was expected to
attract 700,000-750,000 visitors annually over five years and help the company
recoup its investment.
Yong was confident that the wheel could attract 1.3 million visitors, the
same number recorded at Tasik Titiwangsa last year.
"Eye On Malaysia" was launched by Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad
Badawi in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2007.
