Al-Harthi arrives in Beirut
Beirut, October 13, SPA -- Dr. Saed Al-orabi Al-Harthi, Advisor to
the Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Chairman of the Saudi
popular campaign for the relief of the Lebanese people, arrived in
Beirut today.
In an arrival statement, he said he is conveying the greetings of the
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al
Saud, Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier,
Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, Prince Naif
bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Interior who is also the General
Supervisor for the campaign, and those of the Saudi people to the
Lebanese leadership and people as well.
He cast light on the efforts exerted by the campaign to alleviate the
sufferings of all Lebanese in all parts of Lebanon affected by the
Israeli aggression.
On the purpose of his visit, he said he would open a number of
projects constructed by the campaign, noting that the campaign has
surpassed the first stage of forging emergency relief projects to
phase II of establishing constant educational, medical and
recruitment projects.
For his part, the Chairman of the Lebanese Relief Committee Major
General Yahya Raad lauded the generous support by the Kingdom, led by
the king and crown prince.
He also thanked Prince Naif for his interest in assisting the
Lebanese people, giving an account on the Saudi relief since the
spark of the crisis to date and thanked Al-Harthi for his efforts to
assist the Israeli-aggression-stricken people in Lebanon.
