MONGOLIA ADVERTIZES ITS NAT'L CLOTHES AT UNESCO

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A fashion performance for Mongolian deel (traditional clothes) called "The Secrets of Mongolian Clothes" took place at an opening of the 4th session of the General Assembly of the States Parties to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage kicked off on June 4 in Paris, France. This performance has been co-organized by the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO, the "Mongolian Costumes" LLC, and the Embassy of Mongolia in France. National clothes possess features of any nations, and it is the tangible heritage telling origin of a nation and its lifestyle. It is vital to study and research the national clothes for historical importance, so Mongolia urgently needs to make its tangible heritage recognized at international arena.
