West has no choice but to win Iran's trust: FM spokesman

Tehran, Oct 13, IRNA

Western states have no choice but to win Iranians' trust on the issue
of nuclear standoff, said Foreign Ministry spokesman, Hassan Qashqavi,
on Monday.

Speaking to reporters at his weekly press conference, Qashqavi said
West had to give a responsive and "positive" answer to the letter sent
by Iran's top nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili, to the EU foreign
policy chief, Javier Solana.

"We hope to continue (nuclear) talks," said the spokesman.

He said that Iran has so far, had a "massive, constructive and serious
cooperation" with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Commenting on the latest allegations raised about Iran's peaceful
nuclear activities by certain states, Qashqavi said that Tehran has
given a 200-page response to show its goodwill to those "undocumented
claims."
The spokesman added, after various verification reports, the IAEA has
repeatedly confirmed that Iran had no diversion from the civic nature
of its peaceful nuclear program and has underlined that there is no
concrete evidence to blame the country.
