FIRE LEAVES 200 FAMILIES DISPLACED IN N JAKARTA
Jakarta, Oct 13 (ANTARA) - A fire ravaged a densely-populated part of Muara Baru area in North Jakarta on Sunday night, leaving an estimated 200 families displaced.
Firefighters had difficulty putting out the blaze because the only way to reach the scene was a narrow alley. Their efforts were also hampered by panic-stricken residents trying to save their belongings, fire fighter Joko said.
The fire was finally put out at 04.40 am on Monday.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
