OIC Chief meets Sudanese Envoy

Jeddah, October 13, SPA -- The Secretary General of the Organization
of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, has
received at his office in Jeddah the new Ambassador of the Republic
of Sudan to Saudi Arabia, Abdel-Hafiz Ibrahim Mohamed, who presented
his credentials to the Secretary General in his capacity as Sudan's
representative to the OIC.

During the meeting, Prof. Ihsanoglu reiterated the OIC's solidarity
with Sudan against any and all threats to its security, unity and
territorial integrity.

He stressed the Organization's commitment to providing humanitarian,
political and developmental support to Sudan in line with the
decisions of the OIC in this regard.

For his part, the ambassador expressed Sudan's appreciation and
gratitude to the OIC for its positions in support of Sudan in various
international and regional forums.

He also indicated that Sudan is willing and ready to continue
coordinating with the OIC for the implementation of all projects
adopted in the economic and humanitarian fields.
