Iran writes to Google over removal of Persian Gulf’s name

TEHRAN, May 24 (MNA) - The Iranian ambassador to the United Nations has written a letter to Google CEO Larry Page, asking the corporation to reconsider its recent decision to leave the Persian Gulf nameless on its online map service, the Foreign Ministry said in a press release on Wednesday. Ambassador Mohammad Khazii wrote that the move will diminish Google’s credibility and will set a dangerous precedent.
