Rail routes from Baku to Kiev and St. Petersburg to be resumed as required

Azerbaijan, Baku, May 23 / Trend, E.Ismayilov / International rail routes from Baku-Kiev and Baku-St. Petersburg will be resumed as required, CJSC 'Azerbaijan Railways' spokesman Nadir Azmammadov told Trend on Wednesday. He said given the small number of passenger traffic on these routes, it was decided to stop carrying out these journeys. "However in case of necessity, resuming these routes will be considered," Azmammadov said. Also, he added, an express run on the Baku-Astara route was cancelled. "This decision is also associated with low passenger traffic," Azmammadov said. Yesterday 'Azerbaijan Railways' announced a new seasonal timetable for passenger trains.
