DON'T TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE GLOBAL CRISIS : PRESIDENT
Bogor, Oct 12 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono warns people not to exploit the on-going financial crisis situation for a certain interest.
"I have warned this earlier as it can disturb the economy and betray people," the president said during the celebration of Confucious prophet's birthday in Persikabo stadion here Sunday.
According to the president, the global economic recession would like to bring certain impact on the national economy, and therefore this condition should not make people panic.
"Let's face it calmly and think rationally as there will be a solution. The government and Bank of Indonesia (as the central bank) are still doing such anticipatory steps to overcome the impact," he said.
The president also said that the government along with other countries would actively participate in stabilizing the global financial crisis.
