Yemen partakes in Arab prosecutors' conference
SANA'A, Oct. 11 (Saba)- Yemen participates in the second Arab conference for the
prosecutors general, heads of investigation and prosecution commissions and under
secretaries general to be held in Saudi capital Riyadh on October 12-17.
Speaking to Saba upon departure, General Prosecutor Abdullah al-Ulofi, who heads
Yemeni delegation in the conference, stated that that the conference, sponsored by
Arab League and Arab Center for Law and Judicial Researches, would discuss a number
of issues associated with activities of general precautions and prosecutors.
The conference, he noted, would also discuss possibility of establishing technical
secretariat to general prosecutors and heads of prosecutions, creating mechanism for
exchanging experiences and information between prosecutions and setting plans
required for having direct cooperation between them.
Updating procedural measures for judicial representation, extraditing criminals,
handover convicted people to their countries and reviewing recommendations of the
first conference would be also discussed.
He clarified that Yemen would introduce a work paper in the conference on demand of
judicial representation and applying it, transforming measures, clarifying samples
and exchanging expertise and information in field of criminal judiciary.
