Holding a post-fasting 'halal bihalal' gathering has become a tradition during the Idul-Fitri holidays, locally called Leberan. Exchanging forgiveness is one of the main activities done during Lebaran. It is not enough to extend forgiveness only through SMS and Email messages. Thus, families, relatives, businesspeople, politicians, professional organizations, regional societies and so forth hold a halal bihalal gathering to exchange forgiveness.
