U.S. to remove N.K. from terrorism list Saturday: report

SEOUL, Oct. 11 (Yonhap) -- The United States plans to remove North Korea from a list of terrorism-supporting countries Saturday after getting assurances the communist state has agreed to a plan to inspect its nuclear facilities, the Associated Press reported, citing unnamed diplomats.
U.S. President George W. Bush signed off on the move Friday in a bid to salvage
the stalled six-party talks aimed at scrapping North Korea's nuclear arms
programs, the report said.
Pyongyang has recently stopped disabling its Yonbyon nuclear plant and taken
steps to restore it in protest over the U.S. delay in delisting the North.
