Ashghal Completes Multi-level Parking Building at Dafna Area

Doha, May 06 (QNA) - Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has completed the construction works of a multi-level parking building at Dafna Towers Area, behind the Urban Planning and Development Authority building. This public project is the result of increasing demand at the area that occupies offices of many governmental organizations and service providers, where stiff traffic congestions is witnessed due to lack of proper parking spaces for all the vehicles of the staff as well as visitors. The multi-level parking building consists of seven floors accommodating a total of 1001 cars. Whereas the ground floor can accommodate (124) vehicles, the remaining six floors have capacity of (137) parking slots on each floor, thus totally covering (816) parking slots, with due considerations for people with special needs allotting parking slots for them adjacent to the elevators and stairs. An important feature of the parking facility is a Business Center facility on the top floor, which includes a multi-purpose conference hall that can occupy 250 people and another meeting hall suitable for workshops and small level meetings. The two halls together can be combined to a big conference hall. In addition, there is a reception area with cafeteria and latest technical services such as internet. More than 60 parking slots are provided at the reception area. It is worth mentioning that the Building Affairs at Ashghal prepares studies, designs and technical specifications for public building projects and amenities, and oversee their implementation. (QNA)
