Qatar and Isle of Man Sign Tax on Double Taxation Avoidance

Doha, May 06 (QNA) - The governments of the State of Qatar and the Isle of Man signed Sunday an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to taxes on income. Muftah Jassim Al Muftah, the Director of the Public Revenues and Taxes Department at Qatar's Ministry of Economy and Finance, signed the agreement for Qatar, while Isle of Man's Minister of the Treasury William Edward Teare signed the agreement for his country. The agreement aims to bolster bilateral cooperation, particularly in the Finance sector. Isle of man is a self-governing Crown Dependency of the United Kingdom located in the Irish Sea between the islands of Great Britain and Ireland, within the British Isles. The head of state is Queen Elizabeth II, who holds the title of Lord of Mann. (QNA)
