Rasgas Provides Material Support to QDA for Diabetes Prevention Camps

Doha, May 03 (QNA) - RasGas has provided material support for Qatar Diabetes Association (QDA), to support the diabetes prevention camps set up by the QDA for the Qatari youth who are vulnerable to the disease. Dr. Abdullah al-hamaq, the executive director of the Association thanked those in charge of RasGas for their generous support for the Diabetes prevention camps for youth and girls who are vulnerable to the disease. Dr. Al-Hamaq said in a press conference held here Thursday that this support will have a significant impact in achieving the vision and mission of the said association to reach all segments of society, especially the category of the adolescents in terms of introducing them to the principles and benefits of proper nutrition, and education through sessions on how to calculate the amount allowed to intakes of each food group in basic meals, snacks and the importance of a healthy lifestyle and exercise and physical activity to avoid diabetes. The Executive Director of the Association underlined that this initiative is good indication of the keenness of those in charge of RasGas to serve the community and make positive contributions to a healthy and sound society.
