SECOND FESTIVAL OF ETHNIC MINORITIES WRAPS UP IN BAKU

Baku, 10 0ctober ,(AzerTAj)The 2nd Republican Art Festival of Ethnic Minorities organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism under the slogan ‘My Homeland Azerbaijan’ was closed Thursday with a gala concert at the State Theater of Musical Comedy in Baku.

The festival, which brought together over 50 artistic groups representing ethnic
minorities from more than 15 regions of Azerbaijan, was a good opportunity for them
to display their customs, traditions and folklore.
Promoting strengthening of friendly relations between all ethnic groups residing in
Azerbaijan, this event has become a vivid symbol of ethnic tolerance reigning in the
country.
Once again it has proved every individual representing different nationalities
living in Azerbaijan to be a full-right citizen of the country with big
opportunities to follow their national customs and traditions and develop their own
language and culture.
According to organizers, the main idea of the festival was to preserve and develop
cultural heritage of ethnic minorities residing in Azerbaijan.
