HCM City school celebrates 15 years of cultural diversity
HCM City (VNA) - About 400 students from 36 countries and territories
presented a diverse cultural festival of music, dance and national costumes
on Oct. 9 as the International School HCM City celebrated its
upcoming 15 th anniversary.
The 19 performances presented cultural traditions from as many countries
including a fusion of Yoga and Chak De dance, drums, Salio el sol, Morning
Exercise, Modern Dreamtime, Samul Nori and Dong Mau Lac Hong (The
Vietnamese Tradition).
Among the countries featured were Costa Rica , France , India ,
Indonesia , Japan , the Republic of Korea , Malaysia , New Zealand ,
Sweden and Vietnam .
Besides the annual celebration, the school holds many regular festivals
throughout the year including the Gala Concert, Family Fun Day, Festival of
Lights and the Visual Art Exhibition.
The school, which was founded in Vietnam in 1993, has an enrollment of
over 870 students, 2 to 18 years old, from 36 national back-grounds. It has
teachers hailing from 13 countries.
