Cabinet Condemns Israeli Decision Legalizing Settlements

Doha, April 25 (QNA) - HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud presided over the Cabinet weekly regular session held today at the Emiri Diwan. After the Meeting HE Al-Mahmoud stated the following: At the outset of the meeting the Cabinet condemned the Israeli government decision granting a legal status to three outpost settlements in the West Bank, considering the decision as a flagrant violation of the international law and the international legality resolutions, a clear failure by Israel to fulfill its obligations as per the Roadmap Plan, and a new evidence of its lack of interest in a just, lasting and comprehensive peace. The cabinet renewed its call on the international community to fulfill its duties, shoulder its responsibilities and to exercise pressure on Israel to halt its settlement policies, its provocative practices in the occupied Palestinian territories and to recognize the Palestinian people's legitimate rights, foremost of which being their right to establish their independent state with holy Jerusalem as its capital.
