Board Council of Narcotics Control Criminal Information Centre Concludes 4th Meeting

Doha, April 18 (QNA) - The board council of the GCC Narcotics Control Criminal Information Centre concluded its 4th meeting here on Wednesday. During the three-day meeting, the participants discussed many topics inter-alia coordination between the GCC member states, including programs for the exchange and analysis of criminal information to combat narcotic and psychotropic substances and chemicals and the annual report of the Centre and report on activities and the latest developments the center has undertaken . They also addressed mechanism of the transfer of information from member states to the central database at the Centre. It is worth mentioning that the center takes the city of Doha-based and membership includes the governments of the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait. The meeting was attended by Colonel Rashid Saqr al-mirikhi, the director of the Criminal Information Center for Drug Control in the Cooperation Council for the Arab states of the Gulf (GCC) together with members of the GCC General Secretariat.
