Former Lithuanian president: Path chosen by Azerbaijan should lead to EU membership

Azerbaijan, Baku, April 16 / Trend E.Ismayilov / The end point of the path chosen by Azerbaijan should be its membership in the European Union, a former Lithuanian president, a member of the European Parliament, Vytautas Landsbergis believes. Responding to questions from students of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Azerbaijan on the Lithuania's experience of accession to the EU, Landsbergis said that this issue needs perseverance and patience. "Some EU members are opposed to its expansion and in particular, are wary of accession of Turkey, Ukraine and Russia.
