Tunisian FM Appreciates HH the Emir's Support for Tunisian People

Doha, April 12 (QNA) - Tunisian Foreign Minister Dr. Rafiq Abdel-Salam praised HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani's attitude towards Tunisian people, expressing his country's deep appreciation for HH's support since the outbreak of the revolution until it achieved its objectives. Dr. Abdel-Salam said that Qatari - Tunisian relations are distinct and will witness further progress, pointing to the exchange of visits between the two countries to enhance mutual investment projects. In an interview with the Qatari Arabic daily (Al-Sharq) published today, Tunisian Foreign Minister revealed that there are Qatari investment projects in Tunisia in deferent areas, including social housing, tourism, banking and finance, emphasizing that things are going well. He believed that the Tunisian diplomacy is keen to benefit from previous achievements to promote positives and overcome negatives, making clear that the foreign policy do not based on individual desires and tendencies or on a party's orientations, but on the national general interests. Dr. Abdel-Salam stressed his country's strong support for all institutional reforms of the joint Arab action, saying that the Arab League remains the representative of the general opinion and the common interests. Regarding the Tunisian scene, Abdul Salam described what had been achieved in Tunisia as a political miracle, saying that the government achieved notable successes during a hundred days only. (QNA)
