Arab Initiative on Combating Human Trafficking to Launch First Training Program

Doha, April 10 (QNA) - The first training program for the "Arab Initiative for Building National Capacities for Combating Human Trafficking", which was adopted and launched by Qatar during the 2nd Doha Forum on Combating Human Trafficking, is set to open at the Doha Marriott Hotel next week. Executive leaders and decision-makers from relevant government agencies and the civil society organizations as well as representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations and national alliances will take part in the three-day program, to be held from April 15 to 17. The training program will include two workshops to address human trafficking forms and manifestations, and the role of leadership in building strategies and active policies to combat human trafficking in the Arab countries through the use of positive leadership and organization techniques. The Arab Initiative for Building National Capacities for Combating Human Trafficking is carried out by Qatar Foundation For Combating Human Trafficking in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the Arab League. It aims at building the national capacities working in the different fields of combating human trafficking in the Arab countries and provide them with information, skills and expertise necessary in order to improve their performance and their role in the fight against this phenomenon.
