QOC Chief Meets Chief of Palestinian Olympic Committee

Doha, April 05 (QNA) - Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Secretary General HE Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, conferred here on Thursday with Chairman of the Palestinian Olympic Committee Maj.Gen. Jabril Al-Rojoub , on enhancing scopes of joint cooperation in the sports sector . HE Sheikh Saoud welcomed the visit stressing the need to maintain joint coordination and fruitful cooperation to serve interests of the two sides. For his part, Maj.Gen. Jabril Al-Rojoub highly praised the mammoth sports progress the State of Qatar is now witnessing in all walks of life especially in the sports sector and which is represented in the well and successful organisation of the continental and international sports events in addition to Qatar's possession of the advanced and grand sports facilities and equipment, the matter which has enabled it to host the grand sports events on world level. Meanwhile the chairman of the Palestinian Olympic Committee is scheduled to attend part of the final competitions and the closing ceremony of the School Olympic Programme slated for tomorrow, Friday at the Aspire Dome.
