Malaysian businessmen delegation to visit Yemen soon
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 08 (Saba) - A delegation of 40 Malaysian
businessmen and investors is to pay a visit to Yemen next December
aiming at boosting Yemeni-Malaysian investment cooperation.
For this purpose, the Yemeni ambassador to Malaysia Abdullah
al-Mountaser met here on Wednesday with chairman of the Malaysian
Chambers of Commerce and Industry to discuss the visit's
arrangements.
The Malaysian Official emphasized his country's keenness on
strengthening economic relations between both countries, voicing the
readiness to construct an investment project in Mukalla city at a
cost of $ 10 million.
Al-Mountaser has held several meetings with Malaysian businessmen
last months, taking to them on the investment opportunities in the
countries and the country's trend to encourage investments in fields
of industry, tourism, energy and infrastructure.
The Malaysian delegation's visit is to coincide with holding the
Yemeni Industries Conference which will be attended by the Malaysian
former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
