Yemen to re-offer international tender for oil off-shore blocks
SANA'A, Oct. 08 (Saba)- A Yemeni high ranking official has announced
that the government intends to re-offer the international tender for
international and Arab companies for 11 oil off-shore open blocks.
Minister of Oil and Minerals Ameer al-Aidrous confirmed that his
ministry has prepared a new policy including reconsideration of
mechanisms of a set of oil tenders and the promotion for blocks.
The minister has stated to "Al-Iqtisadiah" that there are promising
oil explorations in basal rocks in new areas such as al-Mahrah which
are under study and analysis by companies before they are ready for
announcement.
