QBA's Chairman Calls Upon Italian Businessmen to Invest in Qatar

Doha, March 22 (QNA) - HE Chairman of Qatar Businessmen Association (QBA) Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani has called upon the Italian businessmen to invest in Qatar which offers numerous great investment privileges including energy cost reduction and a tax system not exceeding 10% levied on the foreign companies in addition to other mammoth and mega development and investment projects. QBA Chairman expressed during his meeting here on Thursday with Cesare Trevisani , the Deputy President of the Italian Industrialists Confederation, now visiting Qatar, hopes the Qatar-Italy economic relations would flourish via promoting of the investment opportunities between the private sectors in the two countries. HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani referred to possible benefit on part of the Qatari firms from the Italian expertise in carrying out the development projects Qatar is to launch on the occasion of hosting the 2022 Football World Cup noting meantime that Italy is the second bigger European exporter to Qatar with Italian exports including electric equipment, metals, means of communication and mechanical and electronic apparatus. HE the QBA's chairman proposed that a joint delegation comprising some QBA members and others from the Global Business Youth Organization in Qatar to visit Italy to get familiarized with the business opportunities there and meet their Italian counterparts to get the Qatari youths involved in the boosting process of the Qatari Economy in realization of Qatar National Vision 2030. For his part, Cesare Trevisani called upon in a similar address over a meeting with the Qatari Businessmen earlier Wednesday the Qatari businessmen to visit Italy and establish a Qatar-Italy joint conference in Rome with a view to attracting the Qatari companies in Italy to get acquainted with the investment opportunities available there and follow up joint efforts made to enhance and step up cooperation in infrastructure sector and in other areas. The Deputy President of the Italian Industrialists Confederation thanked the QBA for the efforts it exerted for convening the qatar-italian business forum earlier Tuesday. Cesare Trevisani also introduced the Italian Industrialists Confederation which is considered the biggest Industrialists Confederation in Italy and Europe since it groups 150,000 small, medium and mega companies including a special branch to the Italian Business Youths.
