GOIC" Hosts Qatar-Abu Dhabi Commercial Mission 2012

Doha, March 17 (QNA) -The Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) held a meeting with a delegation representing Qatar-Abu Dhabi Commercial Mission 2012 which aimed at increasing mutual cooperation and exchange of experiences in order raise the level of economic exchange between the State of Qatar and the UAE during the coming period. According to a GOIC press release GOIC Secretary General Abdulaziz Al-Aqeel gave a delegation headed by Adeeb Al Afifi, Director of Foreign Trade and Exports Support Division at the Department of Economic Development in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi an overview on the organization and its goals and activities in the industrial sector. He reviewed with the delegation members GOIC's programmes in the field of industrial studies and research at the level of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States of the Gulf (GCC) particularly the draft industrial map which the organization is putting finishing touches on it. Al-Aqil also referred to the bilateral meetings that are expected to be held in the United Arab Emirates on next May 21 and 22 between the major-scale basic industries and small and medium-scale industries, in order to to achieve equitable link. For his part, Dr. Afeefi said members of the mission were aiming to identify the services provided by the organization and to discuss ways to take advantage of them, pointing out that the aim of the visit is to survey data that would develop the level of economic relations with the State of Qatar, and ways to enable institutions in Abu Dhabi take advantage of the Qatari market to serve the common interests. The members of the mission also listened to GOIC detailed presentations on the organization's programmes, foremost of which was a programme on Industrial Market Information and its interactive portal (IMI), a programme on GCC Subcontracting and Partnership eXchange (GSPX) and its interactive portal, the Training and Capacity Development (CTD), and the Technical Assistance prgoramme (ITA ).(QNA)
