AL AMIN`S HOUSE MEMEBRSHIP OFFICIALLY TERMINATED

Jakarta, Oct 8 (ANTARA) - The House 0f Representtaives (DPR) membership of Al Amin Nasution of the United Development Party (PPP) has been officially terminated as he is now on trial for accepting a bribe to facilitate the conversion of a protected forest area into a harbor project site in Riau Islands province.
House Speaker Agung Laksono at the legislative building here on Wednesday installed Nasirwan Thoha to replace Al Amin Nasution.
Al Amin's replacemnt was formalized in Presidential Decree No.83/P/2008 dated September 23, 2008.
Besides installing Nasirwan Thoha as a new House member to replace Al Amin Nasution, Laksono also swore in Nina Mardiana to replace Yusuf Macan Effendy, popularly known as Dede Yusuf, of National Mandate Party (PAN) faction.
Dede Yusuf was recently elected West Java vice governor.
At the same time Laksono also installed Eddy Wahyudin to replace Mohammad Zaenul Majdi of the Democratic Pioneer Star (BPD) faction from the Crescent Star Party (PBB) element who was elected as West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) governor.
Agung also installed Imam Suhardo to replace the late Sulaiman Fadly of the United Development Party faction.
