Iran, keen to establish peace, stability in region: MP
Tehran, Oct 8, IRNA
An MP said on Wednesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran has never
invaded any country and has always helped peace, tranquility, and
stability in the entire region.
Hossein Hashemi, Iranian chairman of Iran-South Korea
Parliamentary Friendship Group made the remark in a meeting with South
Korean Ambassador to Iran, Kim Young-Moke.
As to Iran's peaceful nuclear program, he said that all countries have
the right to produce peaceful nuclear energy within the framework of
Non-Proliferation Treaty.
On the double-standard policy adopted by the US and its allies against
Iran, the MP said the Islamic Republic has moved on the basis of the
rules and regulations of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
On Tehran-Seoul amicable bilateral ties, Hashemi said Iran acts as a
bridge linking Central Asia and the Middle East.
Referring to ancient relations between the two countries, Young-Moke
called for further expansion of mutual ties.
Praising Iran's strategic location in the region, he said the Islamic
Republic enjoys a significant and special importance throughout the
globe.
