Qatar Participates in Arab Health Ministers' Council to Open in Amman Tomorrow
Doha, March 13 (QNA) - the State of Qatar is to participate in the 37th regular session of the Arab Health Ministers'Council which Jordan hosts tomorrow , Wednesday and runs for two days.
HE Minister of Public Health Dr. Abdullah Bin Khalid Al-Qahtani who is also Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) will lead Qatar's delegation to the meeting.
The participants will discuss a variety of topics inter-alia consensus arab efforts to combat AIDS , the role of the arab health efficient cadres for boosting the health sector in the arab countries in addition to discussing the strategic plan for updating and developing the primary healthcare and the family medicine in the arab countries.
They will also consider standardization of the health legislations in the Arab world and boosting nursing services , blood transfusion ,midewifery and arab integration in medicinces.
The arab health ministers'council will also discuss the effective preparation for he 3rd session of the arab development, social, and economic summit due to open in Riyadh in January 2013 and the concerted speech of the said council before the 65th session of the WHO General Assembly slated for next May.
Meanwhile Jordan will host MEDHEALTH Congress and Exhibition 2012 which is due to open in Amman tomorrow, Wednesday and run for two days. The event, organized by the Arab Hospitals Federation (AHF), is being held concurrently with the Arab Health Ministers Council's Executive Board meeting and under the auspices of King Abdulla II of Jordan
This will be HMC's fourth year participating in the Congress and Exhibition in 2012 and is highlighting its life changing work in organ transplantation services as well as its ground breaking medical education programs.
Representatives from HMC will also participate in the congress program and will highlight the creation of the region's first Academic Health System (AHS) involving the corporation and its healthcare, research and education partners.
MEDHEALTH Amman 2012 is organized with support from the Arab League, the Executive Board of the Arab Health Ministers Council, GCC Health Ministers Executive Board and the Jordanian Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers. (QNA)
