Doha, March 12 (QNA) - The International Center for Sports Security (ICSS) will organize the second annual international conference on March 12-14 at Qatar National Convention Centre, with the participation of a group of prominent experts, decision-makers and relevant sides from around the globe.
ICSS announced that International Rugby Board Chairman Bernard Lapasset has joined the conference's speakers list, in addition to a number of distinguished world personalities such as Jay Parrish, AECOM's Sports Director; Danny Jordaan, CEO of South Africa's 2010 FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee; Leonard McCarthy, World Bank Integrity Vice President; and Koh Peng Keng, Sports Division Director at Singapore's Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports.
They will all join in a conference session under the theme "Investing Wisely: Maximizing the Legacy and Economic Impact of Hosting a Secure Major Sporting Event" along with Hassan Al-Thawadi, 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar's Supreme Committee General Secretary.
Lapasset will be joined by Sir Dave Richards, Chairman of the Football Association Premier League, to speak at one of the sessions titled "New Frontiers: Rewards and Challenges to Growing a Sporting Brand in New Markets".
This panel will look at the various considerations of key decision-makers from a media and marketing perspective when looking to grow a brand in new markets, and how to best plan for the future success of a sport in new and emerging markets. (QNA)
