CUSTOMS OFFICE ANTICIPATES ILLEGAL IMPORTS FROM US, EUROPE
Jakarta, Oct 7 (ANTARA) - Director General of Customs and Excise Anwar Suprijadi stated that it was ready to anticipate illegally imported goods from the US and Europe in the wake of the monetary those two parts of the world.
"The customs office has anticipated the illegally imported products including those ordered from the US and Europe," Suprijadi said.
Since the global financial crisis broke out, many products ordered from the US and Europe had been canceled.
He mentioned Riau island as an alternative of entry of the illegal goods, as the area has a small informal port, which the government has ordered to be closed down.
"The customs office has anticipated the illegally imported products including those ordered from the US and Europe," Suprijadi said.
