MASELA DOMESTIC PRODUCTION DEPENDS ON ECONOMIC SITUATION
Jakarta, Oct 7 (ANTARA) - The domestic proportion from Masela block's gas production depends on the development of the block project in the Timor Sea, an official said here Tuesday.
"The domestic proportion will be determined on the export value in the relevant contract," Priyono, head of Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BP Migas) said.
If the value of the export contract of Masela gas which is partly planned to Japan is higher than the domestic proportion and will be larger than the other way around.
The gas export price now stands at more than US$ 10 per mmbtu per day, and even to reach US$ 20, whereas the domestic price ranges at US$ 6-7 permmbtu.
