RasGas Announces: Ras Laffan -3 Successfully Delivers First LNG to KOGAS

Doha, March 12 (QNA) -RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) has announced that Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Co., Ltd.(Ras Laffan- 3) has successfully delivered the first new shipment of LNG to the South Korean Gas Corporation (KOGAS) according to an a long-term sale and purchase accord which was concluded between the two parties last month, February. A statement issued by the company today said that the shipment is being delivered under the accord signed in Doha between the two companies, a deal the third long-term of its king to be struck between them. As per such an accord, Ras Laffan 3 is to provide KOGAS two million tons of LNG annually for 20 years. Engineer Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi, the Director General and CEO of RasGas said that "the delivery of the first shipment under a sale and purchase long-term agreement which was concluded recently with the" KOGAS "represents an important event since according to such an agreement RasGas would be committed to safety and seriousness of the production and delivery of LNG to its customers across the world, pointing out that such a spot delivery is considered a clearcut evidence of the company's commitment to its promises. " It is worthy to mention that the RasGas Company Limited( RasGas) is a company owned by Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil RasGas, and the RasGas runs the production facilities for processing and liquefaction and supply of natural gas (LNG) to countries in Asia, Europe and the Americas, and is currently producing about 37 million tons of liquefied natural gas annually through seven lines are running all of them. The Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Co., Ltd.- 3 / Ras Laffan 3 /, which was founded in 2005 to produce LNG and related products, owner of Trains VI and VII. Whereas te South Korean gas( KOGAS ) which was established by the Government of the Republic of Korea in 1983, is working in the areas of development, production and distribution of (LNG), is the largest importer of LNG in the world and currently imports more than 34 million tons of LNG from around the the world.
