CONSTITUTIONAL COURT JUDGE DENIES RESIGNATION FOR 2009 VP GENERAL ELECTION
Jakarta, Oct 7 (ANTARA) - The constitutional judge, Jimly Asshiddiqie, denies his resignation was related to running for the 2009 vice presidential election.
"There is no party who has ever asked me for that. They won't consider me since I have no public support," he said in an interview by Constitutional Court Television (MK TV) here Tuesday.
Moreover, Jimly explained that he chose to quit as judge because he considered had been heading the constitutional court for two terms.
Jimly is scheduled to discuss his resignation with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
