WORLD HINDU YOUTH ORGANIZATION HOLDS "DURGA NAVARATRI" FESTIVAL
Denpasar, Oct 7 (ANTARA) - The secretariat of THE World Hindu Youth Organization (WHYO) is holding a "Durga Navaratri" at the Mahendratatta campus, here Tuesday.
"The event is aimed at asking for strength and blessing from Durga goddess as the mahakali goddess, master of the universe," chief of the organizing committee, I Ketut Suandita, said.
Suandita also explained that the event was participated in by hundreds of students and spiritualists. The vice presidents of WHYO, Sutram Vany (India) and Yougabalan Subramaniam (Malaysia) were also scheduled to attend this event.
The effort to spread friendly values were expected to gain its momentum during this activity of asking for the goddess' blessings for world peace.
"Mass prayers will mark the peak of this year's Durga Navaratri Festival," one of the organizers.
