Qatar, Gambia Hold Official Talks

Doha, March 07 (QNA) - The State of Qatar and the Republic of Gambia held here on Wednesday a session of official talks led by HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Gambian President, HE Yahya Jammeh. The session was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers, while it was attended on the Gambian side by members of the delegation accompanying President Jammeh. Talks dealt with bilateral ties of cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing them besides a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern. Following the talks, HH the Emir and the Gambian President witnessed the signing of an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation between the governments of Qatar and Gambia; a MoU between the Qatari Ministry of Energy and Industry and Gambia's Ministry of Petroleum and a MoU on tourism cooperation. HH the Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honor of the Gambian President and the accompanying delegation. (QNA)
